Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Mechanic to join our mobile service team. This role involves traveling to customer sites in a fully equipped service truck to diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, works well independently, and takes pride in delivering professional service on every job. This role requires strong technical knowledge, independent problem-solving, and the ability to deliver excellent service directly at customer locations. Starting July/August 2025.


Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair all makes and models of Class 1 to Class 3 commercial vehicles.
  • Conduct comprehensive preventative maintenance, and occasional emergency roadside repairs.
  • Perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings and recommendations to the business owner and customers.
  • Operate and maintain a service truck and equipment in a safe and organized manner.
  • Adhere to company safety standards, procedures, and industry regulations, including utilizing cranes for lifting heavy components safely during repairs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and represent Fleet Pros professionally in the field.

    • Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on automotive mechanic experience
  • Experience with light and medium-duty fleet vehicles
  • Strong understanding of engines, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and emissions systems
  • Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions in the field
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must own and bring basic tools
  • Comfortable using diagnostic software, mobile apps, and service documentation systems
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
